1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
2. Prepare spice cake mix according to package directions. Fold in shredded carrots, chopped walnuts, and ground cinnamon.
3. Line muffin tins with paper cupcake cups.
4. Fill cups half full.
5. Bake 18 to 23 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center of cupcake comes out clean.
6. Remove from pans to wire racks
7. Cool completely before frosting with cream cheese frosting.
